One of my house mates is in the Royal Navy engineering core and was in America over the summer for some training thing and he had some interesting comments by some of the American soldiers. One asked him if we had religion in the UK... Him and his regiment had been warned beforehand to ignore a lot of what the American soldiers said because America does not have much history so they tend to brag and over-exaggerate everything they do have. I remember when some girl asked me if Sweden was near Egypt and I wanted to strangle her right there. Then again, most Americans confuse Sweden and Switzerland anyway. Sigh.
